Abstract:
Mathematics is the backbone of science, technology, and engineering. The statement is not an exception for electronic design automation, where many problems are challenging and fall into NP completeness. Elegant mathematical modeling and algorithms are crucial to tackle the problems. We talk about our recent results and potential research problems; some are the collaborated outcome with Prof. Pengwen Chen. We use samples such as 1. Floorplanning, 2. Placement, 3. Partitioning, and 4. Cell Layout to illustrate our points.
